The CI-SMART study, conducted by Advanced Bionics®, identified and analyzed the top cochlear implant clinic reimbursement issues affecting CI clinics across the country. With compelling data gathered from 40 clinics, CI-SMART provides a first-ever, nationwide benchmark on CI clinical and reimbursement practices. CI-SMART delivers significant findings on clinic and reimbursement practices, and provides you with tools to analyze your center’s situation.
AB developed the Cochlear Implant – Strategic Model for Advocacy and Reimbursement Training (CI-SMART) in order to better understand CI clinic reimbursement issues. We designed the model to capture data on clinical and reimbursement practices that would help to properly identify and prioritize CI clinic reimbursement issues. The collected data is designed to support reimbursement training and advocacy efforts and remove reimbursement barriers, effectively improving patient access to cochlear implant audiology services.
