Auditory Numbers Test (ANT)

Description
This spectral-pattern perception test uses the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 to assess a child’s ability to discriminate based on pattern cues versus segmental or spectral information.

To assess pattern perception, the child is presented with the counted stimuli 1, 1-2, 1-2-3, etc. up to a maximum of 5 in random order, and the child must indicate how many s/he hears.

To assess segmental perception, the child is then presented with the numbers individually (e.g.. 1, 3, 4, etc.) And is asked to repeat back what s/he hears.
