Minimal Pairs Test
Description
The Minimal Pairs Test (Robbins et al, 1998) is a two-alternative, closed-set test designed to evaluate the child’s ability to perceive a single phonetic difference between a pair of words. The test consists of 20 pairs of pictured words with each pair differing in one of the following features: vowel height, vowel place, consonant manner, consonant voice, and consonant place.
