Word Intelligibility by Picture Identification (WIPI)
By: Ross and Lerman
Description
This test is a closed-set discrimination task in which the child must identify the stimulus word from a set of six pictures. Chance performance amounts to a score of approximately 18%. This discrimination task is more difficult than the majority of other closed-set discrimination tasks because the vocabulary level is higher and the response choices differ in fine segmental information.
