Placing the PowerCel on the processor turns the processor on. To turn the processor off, remove the PowerCel.

PowerCel
Rechargeable lithium ion battery that slides into place at the base of the processor.

Built-in Microphone
The built-in microphone is located directly behind the base of the earhook and is used when auxiliary input earhooks are not in use or as programmed by your audiologist. This is the microphone used when performing a microphone test.

Toggle Switch
The two functions are: 1) adjusting programs and 2) used as either a volume or sensitivity control.

To Change From One Program to the Next
Briefly press the toggle switch in the upward direction to the count of three and release. To return to the previous program, press the toggle switch in the downward direction to the count of three and release. The toggle switch does not round robin. You must toggle from 1-2-3 or 3-2-1.

To Adjust the Volume or Sensitivity
The child’s audiologist will program the toggle switch as either volume or sensitivity. To increase the volume or sensitivity, quickly press and release the toggle switch in the upward direction. To decrease the volume or sensitivity, quickly press and release the toggle switch in the downward direction.

System Sensor
The System Sensor is a diagnostic wand that can be used with the CII BTE and Platinum BTE Processors. It is a handheld device that performs a system functionality check of the sound processing system. You can use the Sensor while the child is wearing the processor to troubleshoot the system and to verify proper functionality and communication with the implant.

Quick Tips

  1. If you are unsure which program number the processor is currently using, briefly disconnect the battery from the processor. The processor will re-set itself to Program 1 each time a battery is disconnected and then reconnected.
  2. Press and hold the toggle switch to the count of three when changing programs. Quickly press and release the toggle switch when changing the volume or sensitivity.
