Word Associations for Syllable PerceptionDeveloped by Mary E. Koch, MA, CED
In Word Associations for Syllable Perception (WASP), you find 225 brightly colored, kid-friendly, and easy–to-use picture cards representing the 40 English phonemes in words to which young children can relate. Start with single phonemes and simple syllable sounds like mmm, baa, and sss. Then systematically introduce words with increasingly complex combinations from consonant-vowel-consonant (CVC) words of level 2 to CVC words in Level 4. Parents and teachers can use the manual and cards at home and in school.
