Getting - Adults

This is the moment you have been waiting for—getting your HiResolution Bionic Ear System. In this step, you or your child will undergo surgery and then visit your cochlear implant center to turn on the Bionic Ear! The information found in this step will guide you in preparing for surgery, which for some can be an anxious and frightening time. There is also important information when visiting your audiologist for the first programming session or “hook-up”—when you will be turning on the Bionic Ear System.
