My favorite thing about my AB cochlear implant is:
Having my active life-style back again and hearing the voices of my loved ones.
With my AB cochlear implant, I can:
FULLY participate in all activities—family, social, sports, volunteerism, meetings, telephone calls, etc. in a relaxed manner.
My favorite sound is:
birdsong in the morning-even through closed windows!!
I chose AB because:
because it is a superb product developed by bright, talented engineers and backed by dedicated, helpful employees.
I am a BEA Mentor because:
I am so thankful and excited about my positive experience returning to the hearing world. I want to reach out and share that excitement with others who are struggling with their hearing loss.
I can help cochlear implant candidates by:
listening to their concerns, being positive and upbeat about the possibility of success with a CI and by encouraging them to be determined and persistent in seeking help toward better hearing.
About Me:
After a sudden and near total hearing loss at age 55, my first CI in ‘01 allowed me to reconnect with my world as an active participant. Going bilateral in ’09 gave me glorious surround-sound, beautiful music and the ability to relax while engaging in all the joys of living!
