The mission of the Bionic Ear Association (BEA) is to improve the quality of life of individuals with severe-to-profound hearing loss by providing valuable information, education, and awareness on cochlear implants. A community of hearing health professionals and cochlear implant recipients, the BEA offers important support services to help you Hear and Be Heard.

Connecting the BEA Family to Yours
The BEA is comprised of caring professionals and a dedicated team of volunteers who provide you and your loved ones with information, education, and support for choosing, getting, and living with cochlear implants.
You can connect with a mentor online, email the BEA at hear@AdvancedBionics.com or call the BEA hotline at 866.844.HEAR (4327). A member of the BEA staff will connect you with a recipient volunteer to be your personal mentor.

BEA Resources
No matter where you are on your journey to hearing, the BEA can help you along the way. Hearing your best takes practice, patience, and persistence. The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it.
If you are already an AB cochlear implant recipient, the BEA welcomes you into a community of people who, like yourself, are moving forward on their journey to hearing. Tools and resources, information and education, events and activities, and much more are available with the BEA.
Listening and Learning Resources
The Listening RoomTM offers free education and listening practice resources in English to support the development of speech, language, and listening skills for you or your loved one at any age, from infants to adults. Activities can be practiced independently, with others, in the classroom, or with a listening coach.
Classroom Tools for Your Child
Many parents choose cochlear implants for their children to help them reach their academic potential. The BEA supports your child’s academic efforts with Tools for SchoolsTM, a wealth of resources and materials designed to help your child succeed in the classroom. Offered to parents, educators, and therapists, the Tools for Schools program is a valuable asset for your child’s education.
Tools for ToddlersTM is designed to help parents chronicle, support, and enhance their young child’s journey to hearing.
