Henry Jason Klein is a native of Washington, D.C. He attended the Catholic University and University of Maryland. Besides three years of service in the U.S. Army, he worked as an architectural model maker and electrical contractor, serving as the CEO of A/C Electric Company, Inc. He was married for 55 years until the passing of his wife in 2005. Henry has two children and lives in Kensington, Maryland.

Back in the late ’80s and early ’90s, cochlear implants were just beginning to become more widely known. I remember seeing on television an elderly couple who were deaf and blind. She was given an implant and heard her husband's voice for the first time. This was my first impression of cochlear implants.
