EFI Analysis Tool Download Page

This page includes information on the download, installation and use of the SoundWave Database Review Tool. This tool is intended for use by professionals responsible for the care of Advanced Bionics patients with a HiRes Ultra or HiRes Ultra 3D cochlear implant.

This software is compatible with Windows 7 and 10.

The software must be installed on a computer with an active installation of SoundWave 3.2.

The downloaded file is an executable (.exe) file. The file should be copied to the computer you wish to use for analysis. The computer must have a Windows operating system (Windows 7 or 10).

Double-click the icon for the executable file to open the user interface.

Load a file for analysis.

• Acceptable files for analysis include a .json file 
• The .json file is generated when impedances are collected using the AIM tablet 

• Files can be loaded from a network location or the local drive 
Use the standard navigation interface to locate the appropriate file 

• The analysis can be applied to measurements from any HiRes Ultra or HiRes Ultra 3D device 
Once loaded, the analysis will be completed automatically A summary report will also be generated automatically 

  

  

The interface will display patient and device information from the loaded file. The analysis will indicate if an EFI anomaly was observed (Yes/No). If an anomaly is observed, possibly affected electrodes will be identified in the interface. Impedance data is displayed in two plots (EFI log plot and EFI 3D plot). Anomalies should be discussed with your local AB representative.
