Is your perfect pair two cochlear implants?

If you have significant hearing loss in both ears, your doctor may recommend a cochlear implant system for each ear.

When you use AB's Marvel CIs on both ears, the processors communicate with each other to create a four-microphone network, enhancing the ability to know where sounds are coming from, understand speech better in noisy places, and make hearing less tiring.1,2,3

I’m using both ears together, and the result is almost magical. When both ears are ‘on,’ my brain produces this amazing fullness and richness of sound that my one ear alone never quite gave me.

Find the best two-ear solution for you

With AB, you have many options to find your perfect pair for two-ear hearing.

You were meant to hear with both ears working together. This is important for the quality of sound you experience and knowing what direction the sound is coming from. Not to mention that with AB, you can stream audio to both ears and control them with one button.

Marvel CI is AB's most performance-driven and flexible CI system. Paired with any other hearing technology, Marvel CI allows you to connect with the moments you love.

Looking for a Premium choice?

Wearing a Marvel CI with a hearing aid allows you to experience the benefits of a cochlear implant in one ear while using a hearing aid in the other.  This way of hearing is sometimes known as “bimodal.”

The Phonak Link M hearing aid is made to work seamlessly with AB cochlear implants. When you use the Marvel CI and Link M hearing aid together, they have special features. They help you understand sounds better, even when it’s noisy around you. Plus, you can listen to music or other sounds from Bluetooth devices and hear them in both ears! This makes the Marvel CI and Link M hearing aid a top choice for the best hearing experience.

Note: Advanced Bionics cochlear implants are indicated with severe to profound bilateral sensorineural hearing loss (≥ 70 dB HL) and for pediatrics with profound bilateral sensorineural hearing loss (≥ 90 dB HL).

Prefer another Phonak device?

This is also a great choice! AB and Phonak hearing technology are part of the Sonova family, which means they share much of the same technology. The Marvel CI can pair with any Phonak hearing aid, processing sounds and utilizing the same accessories.

Want to keep your current hearing aid?

Using a Marvel CI with any hearing aid on the other ear will give the basic benefits of two-ear hearing and can be a good way to start your hearing journey.

No usable hearing in the other ear?

The CROS collects the sounds from one side and sends it to the Marvel CI on your other ear. This way, you can hear voices and sounds on both sides, and follow conversations without having to turn your head, even when it gets noisy.
